Biographical Abstracts

Dr. Trish Kalivoda served as Senior Associate Vice President for Public Service and Outreach, University of Georgia, prior to retirement. As part of her work in the Office of the Vice President, she developed and implemented programs and activities to support faculty member scholarship of engagement and engaged research. Kalivoda also served as Editor of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement, 2009-2012.

Before joining the office of the vice president, Dr. Kalivoda held positions in the Provost Office, and in the Office of Instructional Development where she focused research and program implementation on issues related to faculty professional development. She served as an adjunct faculty member in the University’s Institute of Higher Education, and was a founding member of UGA’s Teaching Academy. Kalivoda earned a bachelor’s degree in language education, MBA with a concentration in finance, and doctorate in higher education with a concentration in faculty development from the University of Georgia.
