ACES Announces Election of Board of Directors and Officers

In compliance with its bylaws, the Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship annually elects one-third of its Board of Directors. Because the ACES Board is currently comprised of fifteen members, five members are elected each year.

The Nomination Committee recently conducted the annual Board of Directors election in which 47% of current members voted. The Committee submitted its report of the election to the Board of Directors, which accepted and confirmed the results. The following members have been elected to 3-year terms, begining January 1st, 2024 through December 31st, 2026:
  • Katy Campbell,
  • Suzanne Morse Moomaw,
  • Scott Reed,
  • Roger Rennekamp, and
  • Patricia Sobrero.

The Nomination Committee also identified and nominated a slate of candidates to serve as officers of ACES, which the Board elected to the Academy's leadership. The officers include:
  • Suzanne Morse Moomaw, President;
  • Mary Simon Leuci, Vice President;
  • Lynn Blanchard, Treasurer; and
  • Jeri Childers, Secretary.

The Board of Directors extends its sincere gratitude to Juvencio Rocha-Peralta, Jr. who is leaving the Board after three years of committed service.
