The Academy for Community Engagement Scholarship (ACES) was created more than a decade ago to highlight the incredible work being done with and between higher education and communities. ACES acknowledged from its beginnings that the kind of work that drives effective community action AND research is collaborative; in short, it is the intersection between tested research and community wisdom and practice that changes the odds for success on issues ranging from health outcomes to educational success to environmental security.

ACES members and partners use research and practice to lift up the critical components required on any road to a sustainable solution—hope and aspiration. The work that ACES members, thousands of colleagues across the world, and community collaborators exemplify that we can know more and do more together to achieve generational results. Join us for coffee hours, use the research and practice of our members and partners, and tell us what you are doing to change the world—community by community.
