Biographical Abstracts

Daniela Gargantini, who holds a doctorate in architecture, is teacher-researcher at the Catholic University of Córdoba (Argentina) and Regional Coordinator of the University Social Responsibility Network (RSU) of the Association of Jesuit Universities of Latin America (AUSJAL).

Gargantini is a researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina and member of the Experimental Center for Economic Housing. He is the coordinator of the Socio-housing Service of the Faculty of Architecture of the Catholic University of Córdoba, where service-learning initiatives for urban-housing improvement in vulnerable settlements are developed.

She has served as technical secretary, vice-rector of university environment, and academic vice-rector of the university, where she coordinated initiatives to integrate the social responsibility paradigm with academic, integral formation, and institutional processes at the higher education level.

Gargantini has published articles and taught courses on university social responsibility in various countries in Latin America and Europe. Her contributions include the promotion of RSU self-assessment policies and indicators, the establishment of criteria for the identification and promotion of significant RSU experiences, and the design and implementation of training proposals and institutionalization of social commitment in the various university functions.

She is currently part of the Academic Advisory Council of UNISERVITATE and its Spirituality and Research Team, dedicated to promoting and deepening the specific contributions of service-learning to the identity and mission of Catholic universities worldwide.
