Executive Assistant to the President, Professor. Dr. Cox holds the rank of Professor in the Division of Public Administration and serves as Executive Assistant to the President at The University of Memphis. He served on loan from the University as Director of the Office of University Partnerships for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 1998-99. Other position he has held include Chairman of the Department of Political Science, Director of the Division of Public Administration, Director of the Division of Health Administration, Director of the Institute for Governmental Studies and Research, Director of the Center for Urban Research and Extension, and Acting Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Memphis.
