Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship to Induct 24 New Members

The Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship (ACES) is pleased to announce the names of twenty-four exceptional scholars and community leaders who have been elected to membership in the Academy in 2025. Each of the new members has a track record of accomplishments related to the advancement of scholarship that serves the public good. Such scholarship is characterized by mutually beneficial collaboration between institutions of higher education and communities of place, practice, interest, action, or circumstance that results in the co-creation of new knowledge.

ACES 2025 Annual Meeting

July 1, 2025 (Updated July 14, 2025)

The annual meeting of the members of the Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship will be convened on August 19, 2025. To encourage broad participation by the Academy's worldwide membership, the meeting will be offered in two online sessions at:

  • 9:00 – 10:30 am EDT (N. America) / 1:00 – 2:30 pm GMT 0*
  • 7:30 – 9:00 pm EDT (N. America) / 11:30 pm –1:00 am GMT 0*

Members are asked to see recent email from the Academy for the url and passcode for the sessions.

This year's meeting will be dynamic and build off past years, but feature new aspects, including two short plenaries, a business meeting, and breakouts for discussion among participants on key topics.

Both sessions will be recorded. The recording of each session will be shared shortly upon its conclusion to foster viewing by those with conflicts and those in time zones where it’s difficult to join one of the sessions.

Save the Date: Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship Induction Ceremony

The Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship will induct its 2025 cohort of new members in an online ceremony held on July 30, 2025, 9:00 – 10:00 am EDT (N. America / 1:00 – 2:00 pm GMT 0.* 

All Academy members are strongly encouraged to attend this celebration to learn about the honored inductees, all of whom are coming to ACES from universities, communities, non-profit organizations, with diverse backgrounds, interests, and experiences, having made notable and significant contributions to community engaged scholarship. 

Members are asked to see recent email from the Academy for the url and passcode for the ceremony. The ceremony will be recorded for those interested in watching at a later date/time.
